Pride Month is a chance to shine a light on love in all its wonderful forms, acknowledging those who for so long had to hide their love, dim their light and cast a shadow on their pride. It’s a time to be bold, let the rainbow flags fly high and show the world that everyone deserves to say “I DO” to the one their heart beats for.

What a blessing to live in a country that celebrates diversity and allows love to SHINE. Where marrying your partner, male or female, is legal!

Adrian Atherton and Clinton Moodley are two lovers who shine their light this month as they became Mr&Mr. Surrounded by family and friends, their celebration of love was a memorable experience for all.

The couple wore bespoke blue suits, crafted by Kale & Co., with black accents across the tie and shoes to make it stand out on your Instagram feed. And when the doors to the Rose Chapel at Brenaissance Wine Farm opened, and the bell rang in the background, the audience gasped as their expectations were exceeded.

“We are filled with gratitude and consider ourselves very fortunate that we have found each other.

Thankful for the two loving families who supported the budding relationship. After four and half years of learning, growing, laughing, and occasional tears, we decided to take the next step in our future by becoming Mr. & Mr., in the presence of God and surrounded by those we love, and who love us in return.

It was not a conventional meeting that is why we always encourage people to put themselves out there as love does not always come knocking at your front door. Sometimes you have to take a leap of faith – and this takes courage.”

A SENSORY EXPERIENCE

The day was a sensory experience! Of course the decor, designed and curated by Kelly Kreates, was a feast for the eyes. The couple’s choice of Jo Molane room fragrance filled the air in the chapel and reception, this was accentuated by the fresh florals, brought to life by the talented Grand Botanist. Two chefs tantalised tastebuds with their five course feast. And throughout the day different musicians including an orchestra, opera singer, male choir and DJ produced a joyful noise.

The combination of sight, sounds, tastes, smell, touch and love is one Adrian and Clinton’s guests won’t easily forget.
